The Darby House is at 311 General Darby St. This was the boyhood home of Brig. Gen. William O. Darby, the organizer and commander of the U.S. Army's 1st Ranger Battalion. Several rooms are open to the public, including the living room, restored to its appearance when Darby's parents were informed of his death on May 1, 1945, and another room containing memorabilia, tributes, and exhibits about World War I, the Korean and Vietnam wars and current conflicts.
