Mammoth Spring National Fish Hatchery and Aquatic Conservation Center is at 302 Fish Hatchery Ln. next to Mammoth Spring State Park at jct. US 63 and SR 9. Established in 1903, the federal hatchery is one of the oldest in the country. Ten aquariums display fish and aquatic species indigenous to the state, including sturgeon, Gulf Coast striped bass, smallmouth bass, walleye, channel catfish and alligator gar. One display is devoted to the American alligator. Educational programs are offered by request.
