AAA Editor Notes
Mammoth Spring State Park is on US 63 at jct. SR 9. The park contains Mammoth Spring, one of the nation's larger single springs. Water flow is estimated at more than 9 million gallons per hour. Some of the flow is stored in a nearby scenic lake. A restored 1886 train depot houses railroad memorabilia and local historical artifacts. Outside the depot stands a Frisco Railroad caboose. Paddleboat and kayak rides are available for a fee.

Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Recreational activities are permitted. Picnicking is permitted.

Park open daily 8-dusk. Visitor information center open daily 8-6, Memorial Day weekend-Labor Day; 8-5, rest of year. Depot open Tues.-Sat. and Monday holidays 8-5; Sun. 1-5. Park hours vary on Christmas Eve. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Phone ahead to confirm schedule.
