Ka-Do-Ha Indian Village is 1.5 mi. n.w. of SR 27 to 281 Kadoha Rd. This excavated location of a Mound Builder village was populated about 1,000 years ago by Kadohadocho Indians. The site includes a trading post and a museum displaying tools, pottery, weapons and jewelry. Self-guiding tours, crystal and arrowhead hunting and gemstone panning are available.
Self-guiding tour $8; $4 (ages 6-12). Gem panning buckets start at $25.
Hours: Daily 9-6, Memorial Day weekend-Labor Day; 9-5, rest of year. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
