Museum of the Arkansas Grand Prairie

Museum of the Arkansas Grand Prairie is just n. of the city park at 921 E. 4th St. The museum contains reproductions of an 1880 homestead and an 1890 village as well as a two-thirds scale model of an 1869 church, a 1914 schoolhouse and replicas of a fire station and a newspaper office. Included are exhibits about prairie farming, wildlife, duck hunting, toys and the Stuttgart Army Airfield.

Videos show local waterfowl and rice, soybean and fish farming; a mini-theater video traces the history of local crop dusting. A patch of rice is grown and harvested in summer.
