Aruba Aloe Museum & Factory is .6 mi. (1 km) e. on Rte. 4A from the Eagle Beach traffic circle, then .2 mi. (.5 km) s. to Pitastraat 115. Since 1890, the aloe vera plant has influenced everything on Aruba from art and architecture to health and healing—at one point it covered almost two-thirds of the island's surface. Guided tours of the factory demonstrate how aloe vera gel is artfully blended into body, sun and hair care products. Museum exhibits reflect aloe's importance to Aruba's history and economy.
