Wilhelmina Park is off L.G. Smith Blvd. The park was created in 1955 in honor of the visit of Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands. A statue of Queen Mother Wilhelmina of the Netherlands, sculpted of white marble in Italy by Arnoldo Lualdi, dominates the plaza. The park is particularly beautiful when the tropical foliage is blooming in June, September and October. Visitors can rest on benches shaded by palm trees.
