Pros: FANTASTIC. SHUTTLE TO SISTER PROPERTIES WAS VERY NICE for a change of pace.
Cons: Carts were a minor pain. Even with all inclusive we had to sign receipts for everything.

This resort is "eye candy"......
Pros: landscaping and views were best I have seen in a long time
Cons: inability to swim in ocean at that location and getting around the resort is a little bit of a pain ( cart system )

Do not come here unless...
Pros: The views from this property are amazing and beautiful. It is very hilly, which in some ways worked out for us because we enjoyed the exercise walking to and from different areas of the resort. The skypool is the best part of this property, and service there is very good - get there right when they open at 10am to get a seat.
Cons: The staff had poor attitudes. Check in took a very long time, we felt as though we were a burden to the hotel staff rather than a guest. We chose this resort for our honeymoon destination in hopes to have a relaxing getaway after a busy wedding weekend. We wanted so badly to like this place, however, Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach made it very hard for us to do so. We have stayed at multiple hotels around the world, and I don't usually ever have noise complaints, but you can literally hear every waking step of anybody above, around, or below you! It was so noisy. The food is subpar, and on top of that I either contracted norovirus or food poisoning on this trip. It was so bad that I threw up 15 times in just a few hours, and had to locate the medic center on the hotel site. The nurse was sweet, but the facilities were awful. They charged $250 for an IV of electrolytes and anti-nausea medication which did not work. When I broke out in a fever, they charged another $60 for a doctors visit. In all honesty, I should have had the hotel waive the cost of my doctor's visit since they were probably the cause of my food poisoning, but I was too sick to even bother. It was the honeymoon from hell! Room service takes 1.5 hours for 2 bottles of water (you can only order 2 at a time). I do not recommend this resort for young couples or elderly folks (walks would be hard for older couples, or else you have to wait for golf carts to take you everywhere on the property...this can be very inconvenient). Perhaps this is a place best suited for families and children because that is all we seemed to hear every night before we would try to go to sleep! We will not be coming back to stay at PB Sunset Beach. Do not come here unless you want to be treated like you are a burden to hotel staff and you love getting food poisoning.
