Regional Museum of Baja California Sur

Regional Museum of Baja California Sur (Museo de Antropología y Historia de Baja California Sur) is at Ignacio Altamirano and Av. 5 de Mayo. It features exhibits on the geology, geography, flora and fauna of the state. Evocative murals and dioramas depict the region's Indian cultures and La Paz's early days. Spanish mission settlement, Mexican ranch life and three major conflicts—the War of Independence, the Mexican-American War and the Mexican Revolution—are among the historical subjects covered. Most exhibit information is in Spanish.
