The area of the Hotel(Nopolo) has limited services,a daily trip to town makes the experience better. Tranportation is VERY limited, glad we rented a car.The Golf Course is a separate entity, and there is no stay and play discounts. Bring your own golf items as the Golf Pro shop has NOTHING.
Pros: The rooms are very nice, the view is great.
Cons: 2 out of three resturants were closed, there is no room service.
Scorching hot and terrible service
Cons: From the get go it was a disaster. The keys didn't work. The room was scorching hot all through the night despite the ac and fan being on. The toilets didn't flush. The internet was ridiculously slow. Worst of all, the water pressure was extremely high and poured out brown water in the sink. This is my first time reviewing a hotel after staying in hundreds. That should speak volume about how adamant I was about sharing my terrible experience.
Very relaxing
Pros: the price was the best thing. i also liked there was golf and that you could use the kayaks or paddle boards included in the price. Rooms were very nice and no one was there. I guess May is the "off" season so I practically had the whole place to myself!
Cons: I dont really have a complaint
Loved the beach
Pros: Great beach with great snorkeling. Very pretty grounds and rooms were ok, with a nice shower.
Cons: When checking in the staff didn't give us any information. They didn't explain anything about the grounds, what type of activities were available etc. Nothing was open while we there except the restaurant, neither of the bars and the pool bar was closed except one day while we there. They said it was due to the off season. I wish we would have known that prior to arrival or at least at the check in. Additionally, we wanted to take kayaks out in the evening only to find out they closed at 4:00. The fridge was very small and didn't seem to work.
Very very quiet. Not what...
Pros: The hotel is located fairly remote from town and the wildlife around the property was plentiful.
Cons: The hotel is in need of money put back into it to bring it back to appropriate levels. We opted to not be all inclusive and the meals we ordered were small portions and not great tasting. The pool was completely full of screaming children from 9 am until 10 pm everyday. We never even dipped our toes into the pool the entire week we were there which was disappointing. The scooters that are available are not insured for the highway and could not be rented to go to town, so we had to rent a car or spend $60.00 a day in taxi fees to go to town. The hotel is advertised as a spa and had 2 stations set up on the beach with no staff at those stations during our entire stay. The gym our work out room is set up in a regular hotel room that they just moved the beds and furniture out of, very strange.
