Tyrol Cot Heritage Village is at Codrington Hill. The home of Sir Grantley Adams, who led the struggle for democracy in Barbados, contains family photographs and articles, as well as antique mahogany pieces. Reproductions of chattel houses in the surrounding four-acre village include a replica of an 1820s slave hut, a blacksmith's shop, a home depicting the domestic life of Barbadians in the 1920s and shops where visitors can watch craftspeople at work. Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
