AAA Editor Notes
Grenade Hall Forest and Signal Station borders the Barbados Wildlife Reserve and Farley Hill National Park. The 1819 station commands a panorama of the island and offers insight into its original role as part of a communications network that was unique in the Caribbean. The site was originally used by the Royal Artillery to communicate between island signal stations and the capital of Bridgetown. Visitors can explore a mile (1.6 km) of coral pathways winding through trees, shrubs, vines and herbs.
