The Pacific Museum of the Earth is just off the West Mall of the university on the main floor of the Earth and Ocean Science Building at 6339 Stores Rd. Highlight of the 30,000-piece mineral and fossil collection is an 80 million-year-old Lambeosaurus dinosaur; a full-sized, 13 meter (42 ft.) long, hanging Elasmosaurus replica; a 2-meter (7 ft.) amethyst tube; an unusual large sedimentary structure; numerous extraordinary mineral, crystal, gold and rock specimens; and the OmniGlobe, a spherical interactive display of Earth with historical and real-time information.
