Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute (BUEI) is just outside Hamilton on E. Broadway at 40 Crow Lane. Designed to foster an understanding and appreciation of the world's oceans, the BUEI features two floors of interactive exhibits. Through simulator modules, visitors can dive 1,200 feet in a deep-sea submersible or survive an attack in a shark cage. Highlights include the Jack Lightbourn Shell Collection and a display of artifacts discovered by diver and explorer Teddy Tucker. Marine exhibits include diving bells, a bathysphere and the space-like Exosuit, an atmospheric diving suit. Food is available.

Hours: Daily 10-5. Last admission 1 hour before closing. Closed Christmas.
