108 Heritage Site

108 Heritage Site is at 4690 Cariboo Tr. The site comprises eight historical buildings depicting the famous mile houses, which were established as a stopover for weary travelers. With the discovery of gold in 1858 and the influx of miners increasing, the houses served a need by providing meals or a place to sleep. A 1908 log barn and 1890 church also are on-site.
