Historic Hat Creek Ranch is 11 km (7 mi.) n. on Hwy. 99 at Hwy. 97 jct. The 130-hectare (320-acre) ranch, on one of the few sections of the Cariboo Waggon Road still accessible to the public, consists of more than 20 historic buildings constructed 1863-1915 when the ranch served as a roadhouse for the horse-drawn stagecoaches and freight wagons of the B.C.
