North Island Wildlife Recovery Association is at 1240 Leffler Rd. Bald eagles, owls, hawks, swans and black bears are among the animals that can be viewed at this 3-hectare (8-acre) rehabilitation facility. An eagle flight cage houses eagles waiting to be released into the wild. A nature museum, wildlife learning center and public viewing area are on the grounds. Special Event Days are held in July and August.
Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
