Fort Nelson Heritage Museum is w. on Hwy. 97 at Mile 300 on the Alaska Hwy. An albino moose is among the stuffed animals displayed at the museum, which chronicles the history of Fort Nelson. Exhibits include vintage cars, photographs of the construction of the Alaska Highway and a trapper's log cabin. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
$5; $3 (ages 5-16 and senior citizens); $10 (family).
Hours: Daily 10-7, mid-May to early Sept. Closed July 1 for morning parade.
