British Columbia Wildlife Park is 17 km (10 mi.) e. on Hwy. 1 to 9077 Dallas Dr. Sixty-five species of local and endangered wildlife, including grizzly bears, timber wolves, cougars, moose, snakes and birds of prey live in natural habitats at this 50-hectare (120-acre) park. Highlights include interpretive talks, animal encounters, a children's play area and splash park, and a seasonal miniature train. The Discovery Centre features interactive displays. Wildlights, a holiday light display, is offered in December and January.

Park open daily 9:30-5, May 1 to mid-Oct.; daily 9:30-4, Mar.-Apr.; Sat.-Sun. 9:30-4, rest of year. Train departs daily 9:30-5, June-Sept.; 9:30-4, Mar. 15-May 31 and in Oct. Last admission for park and train 30 minutes before closing. Closed Christmas. Phone ahead to confirm schedule.
