Secwepemc Museum and Heritage Park is at 200-330 Chief Alex Thomas Way/Yellowhead Hwy. The 5-hectare (12-acre) park interprets the history and culture of the Secwepemc, or Shuswap, Nation. A walking trail leads through the archeological remains of a 2,000-year-old Shuswap winter village, pit house reconstructions and a summer village. The park also features a museum and ethnobotanical gardens. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$10; $7 (ages 60+); $6 (ages 7-17); $20 (family, two adults and two children).
Hours: Mon.-Fri. 8-noon and 1-4. Closed major holidays.
