A visit here is imperative for many reasons, not least of which is the great brew, but also for the fabulous food. Think pub grub jazzed up with creative gourmet touches, and you get the likes of pretzels with hop salt and beer mustard or a variety of mac and cheese combos such as the one with Rainer back bacon, caramelized apple, peas and melted Brie. All is yummy and it’s nice that they support local producers. Also impressive is the caliber and friendliness of all the staff you meet. The main pub side is the liveliest, but there is also a quieter side where minors are allowed.
