SS Moyie National Historic Site is 1 blk. n. off Hwy. 31 at 324 Front St., following signs. Considered the world's oldest intact passenger stern-wheeler, the Moyie operated on Kootenay Lake 1898-1957, hauling travelers and freight from Nelson to northern destinations along the shore. It is the last active commercial stern-wheeler in the province and contains artifacts, antiques, a model of Kaslo Harbor, a railway display and a photograph exhibit relating to the history of the vessel and its crew.
