Located near the city center, this comfortable, older hotel has modest rooms and balconies. The elevator goes to the third floor, but you'll need to take the stairs to the second floor.
Smoke free premises. 76 units, some efficiencies. 3 stories, interior corridors.
It's fairly old. Staff were very nice. House keeping did a good job. Breakfast was good. Good location downtown Nanaimo. Internet hardly worked. Wouldn't recommend this hotel to friends. Too old.
Pros: Continental breakfast wasn't bad. Cereal, toast, fruit, bagels, toast, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, coffee, orange amd apple juice
Cons: Hotel is seriously showing its age. Due to age of hotel/room, feels dingy & un-clean, but didn't notice anything being dirty. We had a 1st floor room @ furthest end of the hallway and internet worked intermittently. Bed was sagging bad towards the middle.
Pros: Staff were extremely heplpful. Rooms were adequate for the price.
Cons: Wifi in rooms was as slow as dial-up. Even after the staff offered for us to hardwire connect, it was still like dial-up. They use Shaw Cable and should be using Telus as their internet provider.
