Touchstones Nelson: Museum of Art and History is at s.e. corner of jct. Vernon and Ward sts. at 502 Vernon St. This renovated building features permanent visual and interactive exhibitions which examine the area's cultural, developmental and economic history. The Shawn Lamb Archives houses a thorough collection of materials relating to the region's diversified origins. Temporary exhibits and galleries also are available and change monthly.
$8; $6 (ages 60+ and college students with ID); $4 (ages 7-18); by donation (Thurs. 5-8); $22 (family).
Hours: Mon.-Sat. 10-5 (also Thurs. 5-8), Sun. 10-4, mid-May to mid-Sept.; Wed.-Sat. 10-5 (also Thurs. 5-8), Sun. 10-4, rest of year. Closed major holidays.
