Pros: The location on the beach is a classic holiday place. Remember that this fabulous beach disappears at high tide leaving only a narrow strip! Ocean front suites have lovely sea views and morning sun. Nice gas fire wax easy to use. Note that other rooms and cottages are in the grounds without any view at all. Guest laundry was convenient if you don't mind doing it yourself!
Cons: Overall, this resort is tired and past it's best. The basic theme is wooden log rustic and the rooms are relatively gloomy as a result and the furniture is also dated and a bit strange. Small windows don't help. All this makes it feel less than clean but in fact the staff keep it properly. Bathroom is tiny. Main disappointment was the restaurant which had a good ruputation, sadly no longer deserved. Despite booking, we had to wait 20 minutes "while the table was set up" and then found a limited menu with surprisingly little fish or originality. Not good value at these prices. Breakfast food was better but the service even worse, waitress disappeared completely leaving the few customers frustrated. Overall, try elsewhere!

Pros: The water-view from the condos is good BUT only if your Condo Unit is on level 2 or 3. Units on level 1 are inferior and should be priced much lower. When arriving we asked to be changed to level 2 or 3, otherwise we would not have stayed. The SPA experience (couples massage) & using the grotto mineral pool was very nice. Booking.com should ensure that clients are getting a level 2 or 3 condo unit, when paying for what is described as a deluxe 1 bedroom with water-view.
Cons: The restaurant prices are a bit high. The entree Salmon Wellington was not enjoyable. Suggest giving resort guests a price reduction on their meal to enhance the restaurant experience?

Pros: It was great to be able to walk around the great outdoors. Everything is convenient, Food was wonderful and lots of choices. Having the recreation centre open til 11 was great as the other couple quite like working out in the late evening before going to bed.
Cons: Found the services at the Spa a little expensive (almost double for a manicure than I normally pay) The idea that you can have things charged to your room at the Grotto but then downstairs at the Spa everything had to be separated and paid individually was a bit of a disappointment. We had hoped to treat our friends t the Tapas meal we enjoyed but the staff were not able to separate the spa and tapas.
