AAA Inspector Notes
This super lakefront hotel has nicely appointed rooms and suites, all with balconies. There are plenty of activities, ranging from pedal boats and parasailing to just relaxing on its licensed beach. The food is great at the two on-site dining outlets, too. Even though you really don't need to leave the property, it's an easy walk to the downtown shops or you can follow the walking path that circles the shore. Smoke free premises. 203 units. 6 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

Pros: I liked the size of our room and bathroom. The casino was fun, but food options limited. You pay a lot for the fancy hotel. We had a lake view room, and an amazing view of the lake off he patio. It was our 41st. Anniversary, so we went with a lake view, and didn't get any acknowledgement of our time spent there on our special day! Just another person paying the bills I guess.
Cons: The heater in our room was so loud, it woke us up every time it started up! We mentioned it, at check out, but no discount. Just an apology. I thought because it was a special day for us, being our 41st. anniversary, they would give us a discount for our inconvenience of being woken up several times by the heater.

Pros: Beds are very comfortable. Had to card to get in elevator for security. Location was great. Special green program. Having a balcony facing the lake.
Cons: Paid extra for parking. No complimentary breakfast. Seems abit over priced for slow season time.

Pros: Friendly restaurant, front office and room staff. Food good enough but not great. Location was spot on by the lake one side and the bottom of main street the other.
Cons: party time with wedding guests partying through the night making a heck of a din. One of our family (with baby) had to complain three times to get them to finally tone everything down to loud stage whispers before the final rant sent them packing. Had to pay car parking charged which was not explained at check in. It's a bit rich to bear these costs as we expect to be able to park our car there as part of the hotel charge - just as we expect wi fi these days. It's just petty to split it out separately $200+ for the night and they charge $5 for parking. Plain mean.. Hotel was shabby and run down. Time for a make over. No nice lounge to use for a pre-dinner drink or even a nice resto. Just a family restaurant, Starbucks franchise on site and sports bar. Yuk.
