Pros: Totally up to date interior. Wonderful location to walk for meals. By the water . Modern amenities. Truly Fabulous bed. Lots of space. Clean. AIr Conditioning on a super hot day. Friendly staff. The Clam Bucket for dinner is just around the corner. I knew the other reviews were super positive but I still wasn't expecting the degree to which this place would make me so happy we booked it. Great job on making a classic motel style into something truly special.

Pros: Well appointed rooms with a well thought out kitchenette. Very nicely renovated with great comfy beds and nice linen. Lovely overflowing hanging flower baskets outside and an outside dining table under a pergola.
Cons: The parking lot is difficult to get out of and requires you to back out onto a street. Rooms were too warm and there was only AC in one of them.

Pros: We were in Port Alberni for a family wedding. We stayed in one of the cottages as there were 4 adults and 2 children and it gave the kids room to roam and not be so restricted in a hotel room.. Other family members had three other rooms and then one motor home which parked next door in the church parking lot. There were a total of 22 of us. it was fantastic having a covered eating area outside where we could all gather to eat, visit, play games, etc. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. The units were very clean and the beds were so comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
Cons: There are ceiling fans in the bedrooms in the cottage but would have been nice to have A/C in the bedrooms as well but that would not stop me from staying there again.

We were delighted to find we had a room with 2 bedrooms. Room clean, beds comfortable.
Beautiful bathroom, loved the rubber duck on the bathtub.
There is no ice machine, but if you go to office you will be given ice.
There are a few little details Ive listed that would make the stay better but overall we really liked the hotel and we would stay there again.
Cons: A full length mirror in the room would be a good addition.
Lighting in bathroom is very dim and hard to see to apply makeup. Also would be handy to have a shelf to place personal items on in the bathroom. Bath is very slippery so when having a shower make sure you use the bathmat under the sink.
If staying more than 1 night, bins are emptied but the room does not get cleaned or the beds made.
