Prince George Railway & Forestry Museum is at 850 River Rd. The museum houses one of the largest collection of railway-related artifacts in British Columbia. Items, circa 1899-1960s, include a wooden snow plow, locomotives, box cars and cabooses. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$6; $5 (ages 13-17, students with ID and senior citizens); $3 (ages 3-12).
Hours: Daily 10-5, Victoria Day weekend-Labour Day weekend; daily 11-8, Dec. 18-23; 11-6 on Christmas Eve; Tues.-Sat. 11-4, rest of year. Closed Nov. 11. Phone ahead to confirm schedule.
