Pros: Great location at southern tip of Quadra Island, overlooking northern end of Strait of Georgia and beginning of Discovery Passage with beautiful views of Campbell River, passing cruise ships, fishing boats. Sparsely populated Quadra Island offers, fishing, hiking, kayaking, local artisans, fishing cove vistas and even a rough & ready nine hole golf course which is a hoot. Enjoyed the free water taxi from April Point accross Discovery Passage to Painters Lodge on Vancouver Island and the good restaurants on either side.
Cons: Rooms are a little 1970ish. Having said that it is a lodge so we weren't expecting hotel chain level upgrades.

Pros: The staff are nice and kind. It's a great view of Campbell River and Cruise Ships.
Cons: The restaurant is pretty expensive. The hotel itself is a little dated. Not a lot of updates have been put into the hotel.

Pros: Room was comfortable with beautiful view. Appreciated the chairs on the deck.
Cons: Definitely more outlets to charge technology/ run my oxygen concentrater at night. Plastic bags in ice bucket would have prevented a leak. A microwave to reheat coffee, please. Room was VERY hot even with fans and we noticed the main lodge has air conditioning?

Pros: Peace, tranquility and the sea/forest air. The view is great. The food and dining facilities were excellent. The fact that it is "off the beaten track" is one of it's attractions for us. The museum at Cape Mudge is a must see.
Cons: The bed might have been less bouncy. The waitresses were very friendly and cooperative but you must be willing to give them a bit of advice.
family with young children
Pros: Large open communal spaces, loft room with 3 double beds was ideal for a daily with 2 large teenage boys, the restaurant had a wonderful view and amazing flour-free options - the flourless chocolate cake was divine and the buckwheat pancakes delicious, and finally the hot tub was amazing - what a view!
