Museum of Surrey is at 17710-56A Ave. Interactive exhibits and a 42-seat theater portray the history of Surrey. A textile library and weaving studio are featured on-site. Changing exhibits are offered. On the grounds is the Anderson cabin, the oldest remaining pioneer-era structure in Surrey. The cabin was built in 1872 by Eric Anderson, a Swedish immigrant and one of the first settlers in the area. Note: The museum is closed for renovations and is scheduled to reopen September 2018; phone ahead for updates.

Hours: Tues.-Fri. 9:30-5:30, Sat. 10-5, early Feb.-late Dec. Closed most major holidays. Allow 1 hour minimum.
