H.R. MacMillan Space Centre is at 1100 Chestnut St. in Vanier Park. The center's Planetarium Star Theatre presents full dome tours of astronomy and space exploration. Other features include GroundStation Canada, which uses live science demonstrations to explain the latest discoveries; Cosmic Courtyard, which features interactive exhibits and one of only five touchable moon rocks in the world; an observatory with a 0.5-metre (1.6-ft.) telescope; and hands-on exhibits.

$19.50; $16.50 (ages 12-18 and 55+); $14 (ages 5-11); $60.50 (family, two adults and up to three children). Evening planetarium shows (includes planetarium and observatory) $14; $11 (ages 12-18 and 55+); $8.50 (ages 5-11); $41 (family, two adults and up to three children).

Daily 10-5, May-Aug.; Mon.-Fri. 10-3, Sat. 10-5, Sun. noon-5, rest of year. Planetarium shows Sat. at 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Observatory open Sat. 7 p.m.-11 p.m. Hours and show times may vary; phone ahead. Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
