Miniature Train is near the Georgia St. entrance of Stanley Park off Pipeline Rd. Visitors can take a scenic ride through the park on this miniature train. The trip runs over trestles and through tunnels on its 2-kilometre (1.25-mi.) journey. Special excursions operate during Easter, Halloween and the Christmas season. Klahowya Village appears during the summer. Klahowya comes from a greeting in the Chinook trade language meaning “welcome.” The summer village presents handmade items, performances and interactive activities, including a spirit-washing ceremony in which a person holding an eagle feather wafts sage smoke over participants. The Spirit Catcher Train takes visitors on a 13-minute scenic ride through the forest as an audio soundtrack narrates a traditional story. Picnicking is permitted. Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
