AAA Editor Notes
Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Centre is at 845 Avison Way. Visitors are greeted by “Chief of the Undersea World,” a bronze sculpture by Haida artist Bill Reid. The center is home to more than 70,000 marine animals, with emphasis on such diverse habitats as the Canadian Arctic, the Amazon Rain Forest and the Pacific Northwest. Sharks, moray eels and colorful fish populate the Tropic Zone, while the Strait of Georgia exhibit features divers interacting with marine life.

Interactive multimedia displays in the Canada's Arctic exhibit allow visitors to meet the people of this region and explain the effects and impact of climate change on them and the area's marine life. Programs allowing animal encounters with sea lions, otters and other animals are available for an additional fee. Teck Connections Gallery offers state-of-the-art wraparound screens of digital projections while the Engagement Gallery is available for talks and educational programs.

Walk the BC Hydro Salmon Stream in Stanley Park to learn about a salmon's incredible life journey. Other highlights include daily shark dives and sea otter feedings as well as exhibits that feature sea lions and harbor seals.
