AAA Editor Notes
Vancouver Maritime Museum is at 1905 Ogden Ave. at n. foot of Chestnut and Cypress sts. in Vanier Park. Discover the rich maritime traditions of the Pacific Northwest and the Canadian Arctic. Model ships, naval uniforms and other artifacts reveal explorers' interactions with the sea. Historic vessels are displayed outside in the harbor. Tour the circa 1944 St. Roch, Canada’s celebrated RCMP schooner. The Alcan Children's Maritime Discovery Centre features hands-on activities to introduce youngsters to ships and pirates of the sea.

(includes St. Roch National Historic Site) $12.50; $10 (ages 6-18, ages 65+ and students with ID); $35 (family); donations (Thurs. 5-8).

Daily 10-5 (also Thurs. 5-8, except the St. Roch), Victoria Day-Labour Day; Tues.-Sat. 10-5 (also Thurs. 5-8, except the St. Roch), Sun. noon-5, rest of year. Allow 1 hour minimum.
