Allan Brooks Nature Centre is on a ridgetop at 250 Allan Brooks Way in the old Vernon Upper Air Weather Station. The center—named after naturalist and illustrator Allan Brooks—features a habitat exhibit about the Northern Okanagan region's ecosystems, the Discovery Room with hands-on exhibits and an active beehive to view. The Grassland Trail, Naturescape Gardens and scenic views can be enjoyed outdoors. To overlook the countryside and see wildlife, climb the hill for a quiet spot. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
