Pros: The staff is fantastic -- cheerful, helpful. The location is the best in Victoria. It is literally in the center of where you want to be. The hotel has a wonderful sense of history that you don't find in many places and the property is gorgeous.
Cons: The rooms could be updated a bit, particularly the bathrooms. You definitely get the "old world" feel in the room.

Pros: Concierge Gold Level is truly a hotel within a hotel. The service was impeccable, personable and well worth the additional cost. The Gold Lounge offered a quiet getaway with a magnificent view and wonderful food.
Cons: The only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer.

Pros: Lovely hotel, great view, perfect location. Historic, interesting, nice staff. Easy walk to float planes and local ferries. Great afternoon tea. Nice verandah for dining.
Cons: Really only one thing: the Indian restaurant no longer exists. However, the signs are still up and the literature in room still references this non- existent place. The signs in particular are odd: how hard is it to remove them?
