AAA Editor Notes
Azalea State Natural Reserve is 5 mi. n. off US 101 McKinleyville exit, then 2 mi. e. on N. Bank Rd. The 30-acre reserve features western azaleas as well as other plantings common to the area. The reserve is loveliest when the azaleas are in bloom April through May.

Note: Visitors should stay on designated trails. Dogs are permitted only in the paved parking area. Parking is limited; the reserve is not recommended for trailers. Restroom facilities are not available.

Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
