Eugene O'Neill National Historic Site is reached by a shuttle from a designated pick-up point; information is provided when reservations are made. Guided 2.5-hour tours are given of Tao House, the Pulitzer- and Nobel Prize-winning playwright's home from 1937 to 1944. This sanctuary is where he wrote his most successful plays—“The Iceman Cometh,” “Long Day's Journey Into Night” and “A Moon for the Misbegotten.” The tour provides insights into O'Neill's life, his marriage to wife Carlotta and his contributions to American theater.
