Catalina Island Museum is at 217 Metropole Ave. The museum contains permanent exhibits illustrating the island’s history, including its evolution as a resort community, its role as the Chicago Cubs spring training venue, and its links to Hollywood, sport fishing and the decorative tile and pottery industry. Temporary exhibits are offered, and concerts and films are presented in an amphitheater.
$12; $9 (ages 60+ and students and military with ID); free (ages 0-15). Admission may be higher during special events.
Hours: Daily 10-5. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
