Benicia Capitol State Historic Park, First and West G sts., preserves the Greek Revival building that served as the third state capitol for just over a year beginning Feb. 4, 1853. It is restored and furnished in period. The Fischer-Hanlon House, adjacent to the park at 135 West G St., is a renovated gold rush hotel that also contains period furnishings; it can only be visited on a guided tour.



Admission
$3 (includes Fischer-Hanlon House, when open); $2 (ages 6-17). Reservations are required for guided tours of the capitol and for tours of the Fischer-Hanlon House.
Hours
Park open Thurs. noon-4, Fri.-Sun. 10-5. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Phone ahead to confirm schedule. Allow 30 minutes minimum.
