Cons: Well first of all I made a reservation, I put in all my info and credit card. Couple min after I received an email saying my credit card didn't go thru. I was busy at the moment so I didn't do anything about it. 2 days before I was suppose to go I got another email saying that last chance to cancel, my plans changed, I didn't think I had to cancel since I got the email saying my card didn't go thru, thinking they wouldn't withdraw the full amount of what I was suppose to pay for the night, but at the end they were able to get the money and payed full price for the service I never got. I never went because some things came up. So in the end I was surprised how they were able to withdraw the money when I got the email that my card didn't go thru.

Pros: The employees were very friendly. I love how they offer different activities in their rec room and out and about. It shows that they really want their guests enjoy their visit. I also love the decor of the rooms. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Big Bear.
Cons: Nothing... My family had a wonderful time.

Cons: No air conditioning
mature couple
Pros: It's on the water and the grounds are nice.
Cons: This is a time-share property and we were not aware of this fact when we booked. On the first full day when I called the front desk to ask when our room would be cleaned, I was told that they only clean mid-week. I told them I paid hotel prices and expected to receive hotel service. I had to repeatedly contact the front desk to get the bed made and fresh towels (and none on Saturday). We received one package of coffee in the room and were informed that we would have to buy additional packages. There was no air conditioning and although the temperatures were not high, the room got very stuffy at night. When I made the reservation, I was informed that a credit card was needed to hold the reservation but wouldn't be charged until I checked in. The card was charged immediately. When I checked in I was told that $100 was being charged to cover any additional charges but would be removed when I checked out. When I checked out I was told that there were no additional charges and the $100 charge would be removed. I asked for an itemized statement and was told that they did not have that information. As of today the charge has not been removed and shows as pending on my credit card. I have spoken with Lagonita Lodge and with my bank and both say it's the other's responsibility. I now believe that time share properties have different policies from hotels and motels and this should be noted in the listing so that prospective guests would be able to make an informed decision.
