Ralph B. Clark Regional Park and Interpretive Center, 8800 Rosecrans Ave., relates the prehistory of the region using fossils of plants and animals. The park grounds are landscaped and include picnic facilities, three children’s play areas, hiking and biking trails, and a small stocked lake for fishing. Pets on leash allowed in park area only. Pets on leash are allowed. Recreational activities are permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
Free. Parking: $3 (Mon.-Fri.); $5 (Sat.-Sun.); $7-$10 (holidays).
Hours: Park open daily 7 a.m.-9 p.m., during DST; 7-6, rest of year. Interpretive center Wed.-Thurs. 12:30-5, Fri. 12:30-3:30, Sat.-Sun. 9:30-4:30. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Phone ahead to confirm schedule.
