Pros: All staff and especially Rafi were fabulous! We will be back for sure.,
Cons: We didn't like couple next to us having loud sex late Saturday night: squeeking bed, banging against the walls, woman moaning for at least one hour. Very poor taste of the couple for not considering other guests.
It has nothing to do with the hotel or services provided. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Good stay for a good...
Pros: Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly. Bed was comfortable and close to legoland.
Cons: Tub was partially clogged but did drain after shower was off. Tv didn't work correct at first but after some playing w it, it did work. Breakfast hours could be expanded.
Pros: Rooms were clean and large
Cons: Breakfast was minimal. Two sweet cerals, sweet rolls and a waffle maker. Would have been nice to have some better fruit, yogurt, granola.
Needs new management. Dirty pool...
Pros: I like pool and hot tub but it was very dirty. The room was ok.
The breakfast was good
Cons: No heat first night. Mom is 90 and was very cold. The hot tub had a greasy black ring all three days they just kept adding chlorine not cleaning. only offered 20 percent off for night with no heat.
Pros: Day staff were pleasant
Coffee reasonable at breakfast
Cons: Very noisy. Had to call desk twice for excessive noise especially in room next door.
Toilet would was blocked - I was given a plunger!!!! Really????? Unacceptable
Location not convenient to the village at all
Excellent property - highly recommend.
Pros: All things considered, this is a solid hotel. It's Days Inn - not Marriott or any other 4-5 star property. It's a solid 3 star. We stayed 2 nights here for the marathon and some R&R time. The property is centrally located to just about everything in Carlsbad - of course, Carlsbad is small so....
Anyway, the rooms are spacious, come with a fridge and microwave, windows that open, a working thermostat, a large bathroom with plenty of sink space and towels and the right amount of privacy. Our room was away from the freeway, but we could still hear it - not a big deal.
Check-in & out were a breeze and the service we received from Mike was exceptional. He was super friendly and accommodating. It's nice to be greeted by a smiling face after a long drive back from the border. He was a gem.
Because of the small size of the property, there is only one ice machine, near the lobby and vending machines. It's close to the elevator - so it's not at all inconvenient.
Overall, it was a very positive experience and I would definitely stay here again in the future.
Decent, clean, & only 2...
Pros: The staff was nice. Bed was decent rm was clean & decent.
Cons: They could hv had breakfast meat with the breakfast, a choice of waffles or pancakes& eggs. The rms per night should hv been like 60-80 a night. Not worth more than tht. I paid 230.80 for 2nights. I was there March 24th to March 26th 2016.
Pros: Beds were very comfortable.
Cons: The staff in the breakfast area seem to be annoyed.
Pros: Price was right. Location was good.
Cons: Old property.....old smell.
Pros: Check in process was quick and a breeze. All three desk clerks I spoke with were friendly and really helpful.
Cons: Only thing I didn't like was my room was on the 2nd floor corner closest to the freeway, which made it kinda loud from traffic. Maybe change the windows on those rooms by the freeway...
the stay was nice and...
Pros: How quiet and clean and friendly it was
Pros: Desk service very freiendly.
Cons: Walls to thin.
Great price friendly stuff but...
Pros: The stuff was very friendly
The bed and pillows very comfortable
The price was right
Cons: The noise from the freeway , and the room was not very clean
And had a little bit of urine smell I am not sure if that was in the carpet ?
Drab and bad maintenance, decoration,...
Cons: Very noisy outside. Rooms very cheaply furnished. No comfortable chair. Drab decoration. AC didn't cool the room enough. Itch beds.. Bathtub stopper didn't work. Couldn't have a bath, only a shower. Breakfast was the bare minimum. Tired looking small apples, etc. I don't eat waffles. Coffee weak.
Good value and close to...
Pros: The staff was nice. The road noise was tough to deal with, as well as thin walls.
Cons: The road noise was tough to deal with, as well as thin walls.
Worked great for our purpose.
Pros: Yes, this is right on the freeway, and it is a complete mystery to me why the builder chose to put the pool on the part of the property that is right next to the freeway. BUT in every other way this place was excellently managed, outfitted, and maintained, and we heard no traffic noise in our room, which was on the side of the building away from the freeway. It was a fine base from which to visit and explore the area.
Customer service needs to learn...
Cons: On check in I was treated very disrespectfully. However the following day I explained to the manager and he was very helpful and said he would speak to the rude man from the day before.
