Pros: Loved the Cleannlieness and comfort of the hotel and room. The beds were very comfortable with nice pillows.
Hot shower with adjustable shower head. Refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker made breakfast or snacks in the room simple.
We didn't use because we wanted to be at the beach but if we were staying longer we would have loved the pool The Pool area is beautiful landscaped and nicely secluded in the quiet interior away from the nearby freeway, train track, and hiway.
Cons: Hotel is a little ways out of town and away from things to do. But not a problem for us as we had a rental car. Walls are thin, you can hear next door and upstairs neighbors.
Beach access was not as expected there is a cliff wall and so you have to travel down a ways to get to the sand which is right on a main highway.
However the Sunsets were beautiful!
The extra charge for parking was a disappointment as it pushed our total cost up to where we could have stayed in town for close to the same price.

Cons: One bed ancient and sagged. Smelly hallways. Sliding glass door did not work. Ocean view room sat to the very back of the property giving a distant view of the ocean, not worth the cost of room. Breakfast overpriced. All you can eat if you like pastries and cereal. Hot breakfast dished out for customer, very skimpy for $20.00 cost. Dinner at hotel $96.00 for 2, (fish, hamburger, fries, 3 carrots, 3 asparagus spears, 4 cocktails, chicken wings) really? We asked the hostess to pack wings to-go; instead she delivered to us on a plate. Asked for Tanqueray gin, received Gordon's gin. She obviously did not listen to our order. Breakfast $40.00 for 2, would do better going to Denny's. Hostess in café interested only in tips. Getting a refill on coffee was next to impossible, finally left table and served ourselves from the carafe near cash register. Waiting until 10:30 for breakfast resulted in limited selection as food was not replenished at that hour. We took a meal to the room twice, once never offered table service, salt or pepper, or plastic bag to carry. Next day offered plastic bag to carry which provided small packets of salt and pepper and poor quality plastic ware. Coffee for coffee maker was not available from front desk, were told they ran out! What? Never heard of such a thing. Complimentary lemon water and cookies scarfed down by one customer...how about watching out for such abusers of complimentary items. Music at pool started mid morning and played until late evening, not soothing, not pleasant at all. If we could open the sliding glass door more than one inch we certainly would have been disturbed buy the awful music. Advertised as a quiet setting, not with that canned music playing. We will not stay here again. We have stayed at many Hilton Garden Inns across the Nation, all have been very nice, this one did not measure up to Hilton's reputation.

Pros: Staff was unresponsive to our request to clean room. We called twice and requested room be cleaned (at 5PM), called a third time (8PM)by this time. requesting clean towels. When I reported this to the desk person, they attempted to blame us for problem.
Cons: Desk person attempted to cover for their incompetence, by claiming that we probably had Do Not Disturb sign on door.(Which was untrue). Trash cans outside remained full for several days before being emptied. Attitude seemed uncaring.

Pros: The breakfast was great! The staff was super helpful & friendly! The hotel is very convenient to the beach! Fish tacos & pina coladas were amazing and our favorite!
Cons: The rooms could use updating with better quality refrigerator & microwave and stronger water pressure in the shower. We had a condensation leak in our bathroom which they came right away and fixed, but it came back a couple days later, which was frustrating when trying to get ready.

Pros: I love the location. It's perfect. I love that it's quiet. I love that there's a heated pool. And the room we had was great. Spacious. Cookies in the lobby in the afternoon was unexpected and a lot of fun.
Cons: I like the pool a little cleaner. Towels brought out to the pool more often. The grounds needed done cleaning because I saw empty glasses left out where there no people. Just a bit more attention to details.

Pros: The activities for the kids were good. The movie nights and the band. They enjoyed the cookies and the pool. We had four rooms and the ones with children had adjourning doors so they were able to play together easier.

Pros: Bed was very comfortable, and the room was perfect for me and my girlfriend. Only bad about the room was the fridge didn't really work that well, but not a huge deal compared to how nice the room and employees were. Every time you walked by an employee in the hotel, they said hi, how are you, are you enjoying your stay, things like that. Very nice people who care. And we traveled up and down the coast looking at all the areas and we really lucked out picking this hotel because it was very quiet. Going up Carlsbad Blvd a mile or two and it was packed and filled with people, more like a shopping district. If you want someplace quiet and reserved, but still in close proximity to all shops and restaurants, and even the beach, this is the place to go!
Cons: Only bad was the fridge not working too well. Had to put our water bottles in there for almost two days just to get them cold. also, the hotel is a little pricey, so I didn't really like having to pay almost 40 bucks extra just for parking for the few days we were here.

Pros: All the staff were helpful and friendly, the rooms were comfortable and clean. The hotel is located right across from the beach, you have to walk about a half mile to get to the beach opening. The hotel offers a shuttle that can take you to the beach.
Cons: The only negative was the price of the restaurant was pretty high but the food was really good.

Pros: The property was absolutely gorgeous! The overall landscaping and flowers all over the property were beautiful. There were several comfortable areas around the property to sit and enjoy the view.
In addition, the front desk staff were wonderful; they were kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. I called just to check if Tylenol was sold in their store. The front desk staff advised that he would send the Tylenol to our room, and within minutes brought it himself with a bottle of water. That is exceptional service. I attempted to give him a tip, and he thanked me but would not accept it. Just wow!
Also, the room was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the partial view of the ocean was wonderful! I would highly recommend staying at this property.
Cons: The bartender did not know how to make a basic drink. I don't mean to sound rude, but it was horrible, and for the price that is not acceptable.
Cons: They are not pet friendly, and in fact, made a point to tell me that they are the least pet friendly motel around.

Pros: Loved the location and extremely comfortable for my whole family. My husband and I really enjoyed having a happy hour at the bar and outdoor patio. Will definitely come back soon!
Cons: The entry doors to the rooms were way too heavy to push/pull open. My 4 year old son smashed his fingers a few time and my elderly in laws had to wait for my husband and I to be around as they could not operate the door coming or going.

We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was very good.
Cons: When I booked the room it stated partial ocean view. We had a little tiny little view of the ocean, most of the view we had was of the dumpsters right below our window. We also where not able to have the window open because of the smell of the trash bins. The fridge was not working, the bedside table lamp was not working, the TV screen did not turn on automatically. After exploring why we noticed that the fridge and the lamp where unplugged. Make sure when you stay there if something is not working. Check the plugs.
Also on check out, I noticed all these extra fees on the bill.

Cons: The noisy room due to the air fans that sounded like a rocket. That was my second room as the first I couldn't sleep due to the volume when it cut in and out. You cannot control this in your room as its part of the ventilation system.The light in the bathroom actually rattled from it and the floor vibrates.I got charged $12 a day for the car park!Outrageous! Very unhappy about that.Noisy water system too, as when someone showers at 4am, it will wake you
