AAA Editor Notes
Carpinteria Valley Museum of History, 956 Maple Ave., uses antique household objects and specialized tools to give a picture of the area's multicultural history. Among the displays are the Chumash Room, highlighting the centuries-old lifestyle of the valley's Native Americans, and exhibits that depict late 19th-century mining, farming and schooling as well as Mission-period culture.
