Planes of Fame Air Museum is 3.5 mi. s. of SR 60 off Euclid Ave. at Chino Airport (7000 Merrill Ave., #17). The museum displays and flies a collection of aircraft that spans the history of manned flight, from a replica of the Wright Flyer of 1903 through the Jet and Space Ages. The more than 150 aircraft housed in seven hangars include a number of American, German, Russian and Japanese aircraft, including an original flying Zero and Northrop N9MB Flying Wing.
$11; $10 (ages 65+ and veterans with ID); $4 (ages 5-11); free (active military, police and firefighters with ID).
Hours: Sun.-Fri. 10-5, Sat. 9-5. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
