Pros: Comfortable bed.
Cons: Fusty and very dilapidated. Also, a little eerie, given that only one wing of the vast hotel appears to be in current use. Loose, rattling doorknob wouldn't deter a thief for five seconds, so I didn't feel comfortable leaving valuables in the room. Irritating, nonsensical requirement to put down a $100 deposit, refundable on checkout, even though (like almost everyone, I'd imagine) I was paying by credit card. Wi-fi was so extremely slow as to be useless even for routine surfing. Inedible breakfast. No glasses or cups of any kind in the room, so I had to go down to reception and beg them for a plastic cup. Cleaning staff banged on my door in the a.m. despite the fact I'd hung a "Do Not Disturb" sign on it. Poor value for money.

Pros: Awesome, turn of the century hotel. It's being refurbished and was very clean. The staff was very friendly.
Cons: We loved everything. Internet could have been a little stronger. If that's the only problem, it's not a problem for us.

Pros: Historical building Good Parking Close to the old town Refurbished room
Cons: Having to pay $100 deposit on the room. Public areas could have been beautiful, but were neglected and shabby Poor breakfast No ambiance, seem deserted and uncared for. Public rooms were padlocked strange and unecessary notices were posted

Pros: Nice looking roomy hotel, friendly staff, great location for stopping at on a road trip up the west coast.
Cons: Decor is a but dated and tiring. No coffee making facilities in room. No mirror in room, only in bathroom.
