Pros: We stayed at the Red Lion for 3 days while I visited my daughter at HSU. The staff downstairs was friendly and very helpful.
Cons: We were located right next to the elevator and there was a loud group of CSUSB students staying at the hotel that were very loud and running around the hotel floors and sitting by the elevator playing music. We had to call downstairs but right after we called it was taken care of.

Pros: Staff were great, helpful and friendly. Bed was clean and comfortable and hotel quiet at night. Needs some remodeling. Could be a really nice hotel. Easy access to 101 Hwy.
Cons: Needs to be cleaner. I cleaned; the lamp switch areas and door handles were very dirty (turned clean'g cloth black) and air conditioning unit vents were crusted with dirt and dust. Their customers have not picked up their pets fecal material (shame on them)and neither do hotel's grounds people.

Cons: The directions that we followed from the booking site are wrong. The Red Lion is on highway 101 which turns into Fourth Street. The hotel is on the right if travelling south and the 101 is one way at that point so you have no option.

Pros: The front desk staff were exceptionally amazing. So kind and willing to go out of their way to make you comfortable. We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful part of California. Unfortunately we will more than likely never stay at The Red Lion again.
Cons: The location, in relation to sites, was great. The "bay view" from our room was less than appealing. A lot of junk before you can see the tiny sliver of bay. Do not waste your money at the restaurant. The food was awful. You can walk to many places with great food. One waitress in particular was beyond rude. While setting out glasses she actually said, "these f'ing people." I was blown away. We handed our tip to the poor lady bussing tables and working the cash register. She was working her tail off while the other woman grumbled and groaned.

Pros: Loved the size of the room. The deluxe double queen had so much extra room. Usually you have to stand sideways so someone can walk by you and the beds. There was probably a good 5 ft of walking space between the beds and the TV/dresser.
Cons: The skimmer lid on the pool did not fit correctly and a little boy fell in. Luckily he wasn't hurt but it scared him. It could have been a lot worse.

I also did not particularly like the location of my room which was partially underground and the window was street level with people walking by just a foot or two away. I had to keep the curtains closed at all times as I was a little unconfortable being a female solo traveler. The room was also right next to the gym and you could hear and feel when people were running on the treadmill.

Cons: Left two jackets in the closet, but can't get a return call from housekeeping!!! Twice the front desk has directed call to housekeeping, but voicemail messages don't get returned. Also, after a long day of driving, looked forward to soaking in the spa .....that was OUT OF ORDER.

Cons: Sheets were all flats so they came un-tucked. We did not receive clean towels and had to ask for clean wash clothes. The bathroom door would not latch (a note was left for maintenance). The room was next to equipment which caused the whole room to vibrate 24-7 which made it difficult to sleep without feeling like you were in a vibrating bed. The refrigerator did not keep the food cold. No complimentary/continental breakfast with the stay.

Pros: Nice enough. Nothing fancy, but there's breakfast and a cheap bar available. Staff was very friendly.
Cons: The airport shuttle wasn't running in time for a 6am flight, and the staff was unable or unwilling to have one leave for us even though multiple people were on the early flight. We ended up having to take a taxi which obscenely charged us $60 for the trip. I don't know why an early airport shuttle couldn't be arranged for multiple guests staying multiple days, when we talked to them about this 3 days in advance of the flight.
The room was comfortable and clean, yet smelled a bit mildew-y.

Cons: Bathroom door was broken, shower made a loud squealing noise when on. Could not enter near our room with door because there is no way to swipe in, could only exit. Ha to enter through main entrance only. No complimentary breakfast, just a buffet that cost over $10. It was a good buffet but for those on the run not convenient. Our room we had had a great view of the garbage area. Also we left something in our room, called the desk, left a message and still have not heard anything back two days later.

Cons: Main elevator was broken during entire stay. With rooms on the third floor we got quite a bit of exercise carrying luggage up and down the stairs. Pool was closed for maintenance during stay.
