AAA Editor Notes
South Coast Railroad Museum, 300 N. Los Carneros Rd., is centered on the wooden Goleta Depot that was built in 1901 and used until 1973. Railroad artifacts, photographs and hands-on exhibits are in the agency office and passenger waiting room. A 300-square-foot HO-scale model railroad is displayed, and an old Southern Pacific caboose is open for inspection. Rides aboard a miniature train are available.
