AAA Editor Notes
The Dunes Center, 1065 Guadalupe St., is in a restored 1902 Victorian-era home. Exhibits describing the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes include information about the birds and mammals of the dunes. The Co-Starring the Dunes exhibit details the dozens of movies filmed locally as well as the making of the 1923 Cecil B. DeMille silent film spectacular “The Ten Commandments” and the sphinx buried under the dunes after the film's completion. The Gallery at the Dunes Center displays changing art by local artists.
